According to MyFoxDetroit.com, a mother from Rochester Hills, Detroit faces potential drug charges after her daughter reported her to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.

Christina Consolo’s 19-year-old daughter called authorities Sunday to report that her mother was growing marijuana plants in their home.

Consolo, 40, said her daughter was following some motherly advice when she made the call.

In an interview with ClickOnDetroit.com, Consolo stated,”Well, she’s obviously making a stand for what she believes in. I encourage her to do that.”

Consolo told the news outlet she uses the marijuana to relieve pain from a back injury. She said she will try and find another source for the drug.
