Outdoors and On the Go: Sharing Nature with Children
“Outdoors and On the Go: Sharing Nature with Children” Event
“Outdoors and On the Go: Sharing Nature with Children” will be a great event to check out if you have kids! It will be held at the Eagle River Nature Center at 2pm, Saturday March 20th and it is free, but parking is $5 for non members.
The speakers are Erin Kirkland who writes AKonthego.com, a web site dedicated to family-friendly activities here in AK and Jen is the author of Babes in Woods: Hiking, Camping and Boating with Babies & Young Children. These women are very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and kids! Bring lots of questions!
Don’t miss it! They will share the many resources available and their handout list of “Top 50 Outdoor Activities” in Alaska to use for the upcoming spring and summer. REI and the Alaska Office of Boating Safety have provided a few goodies and activities! This will be great for anyone who has or works with kids ages 0-13. Be sure to go!
